The company was founded fifty years ago by Samuel Chase (SC) Margarethen, an automotive engineer from Detroit, who came to Denver often on business, and started writing a review of local automotive facilities and needs for the automakers in Detroit. The readership was very small at first, but slowly but surely grew because Margarethen was such a thorough investigator, reporter and reviewer.
